Too bad we can't see it in your photo. This looks like a piece that should show iris. I usually find iris in clear pieces like you have right next to the crystal center. For best viewing of the color, I cut it thin then polish both halves and then get the sun behind it. The last piece I cut broke into triangular pieces so I polished a piece up (maybe an inch and a half long), glued on a bell cap and attached it to a key ring. I then hung it from my rear-view mirror. I enjoy it whenever I am driving towards the sun. Wow! Those pics Roy showed are fabulous! (I didn't see them until after I posted the above.) Here are 2 photos of the piece hanging from my rear-view mirror (see how the color changes when you move it a little?):

The iris has disapeared now. I assume it will show again when I polish it. As soon as it dried off after cutting I could not get the iris back. But that is ok, I have dozens of potential iris'.

I may cut more rocks and try for more. If I find better, I will start with the best and work back. Hopefully I never get back to those two.
