I am getting ready to restart the traveling rock box. It will be #8. I'll be using all new materials. If anyone wants to send things to add we can always upgrade. If you are interested in adding good stuff, PM me for my addy.
This is the time to sign up. If I have missed any rules then feel free to add them here. I will add them to this post.
What is expected:
It is expected that you will receive the box, photograph what you took out and what you put in. The images should be posted here. Each member pays the postage to get the box to the next member. We are using a Medium Flat rate Box. If $14 is too much, please do not sign up. It is expected you will take what you deem is some nice stuff. In return, and fairness to other members, we ask you put in what you consider nice. This is not a place to lose your dud rocks.
Also, please make sure you leave enough for others. If someone puts a handful of slab stands in, take one or two and leave the rest for others. If there is two slabs of charoite, please take one and leave the other for the next member. If there is a larger rock in the box, cut a slab off and but it back in the box. Don't forget, we are all friends here, and friends share. We learned that about the same time we learned to tie our shoes. You still remember to do that, right?
Once you have done your swapping, repack the contents in a new FRB and send in a timely fashion to the next person in the list.
So, here is the place to put your hat in the ring. There is a limit of 20 members so hurry!!
