I find these in my landscaping rocks. This is what it looks like when tumbled. It's fairly soft; Similar to limestone perhaps. Doesn't get particularly shiny.

Color and pattern reminds me of yellow turquoise, but those are a harder rock.

We have a similar stone in the Rio grande gravel beds but it is more orange and the dendrites are not nearly as nice as yours. Ours is definitely limestone but has silica enough to be a bit harder than the usual limestone round here. Have never tried to polish a piece. Also found some in Lake Valley New Mexico that is more pink. It polishes well on the wheels. Here's a cab.....Mel
