If you decide to travel to BC stop in and have a look. A unique lake, and very close to the US border.
Spotted Lake is richly concentrated with various minerals. It contains dense deposits of magnesium sulfate, calcium and sodium sulphates. It also contains high concentrations of eight other minerals and lower amounts of silver and titanium.[2]
Most of the water in the lake evaporates over the summer, revealing colorful mineral deposits. Large “spots” on the lake appear and are colored according to the mineral composition and seasonal amount of precipitation.[2] Magnesium sulfate, which crystallizes in the summer, is a major contributor to spot color. In the summer, remaining minerals in the lake harden to form natural “walkways” around and between the spots.

That's just not correct spirit. Some serious hard water in that area. Odd how they divided up to smaller pools.

It used to be ranch land with the previous owner trying to capitalize on its use as a spa, guess it never caught on? from what I read about its history. The Osoyoos first nations people purchased the land and now consider it a sacred lake with healing powers. I've seen a few nice sized crystallized minerals on youtube pulled from the lake also. Did you know we had a dead sea? Dont have to go to the middle east. Lake Manitou in bushmanbilly province.

Serious mineralized water spirit. Guess it is easy to float in that high density water. Looks like they were doing mud rubs too. All that titanium is the reason bushman is so feisty.

Spotted lake doesn't look too good for water skiing.

Its a little confusing but the other on is called Manitou Lake. I worked oil rigs around there in my youth. Just outside of Neilburg. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manitou_Lake_(Saskatchewan)

The one in the second youtube vid is Manitou not the first vid.

That is correct, there is two salt water lakes with similar names. The video is from the the lake you posted. Lake Manitou near Watrus and Manitou lake near Neilburg. Lake Manitou is also famous for their Dance hall.
