Our family trip out to CO ended with a night in Cheyenne, WY on our way back home. My middle son sprained his foot (our second urgent care visit of the week) the day before, so that put a kibosh on our plans to go out "into the wild" and do some hunting. Fortunately, the hotel parking lot area had river rock EVERYWHERE around it, and there was really some beautiful stuff there. These have been in the Lortone 12lb for the better part of a week, and I cheated and checked on them early. I actually needed to add grit, so I'll use that as my excuse. I pulled a few out to see how they were progressing, and thought I'd share a few pics. I am SO excited to see this stuff! I believe that all of the green is Unakite, but I am interested to know what the rest of this stuff might be. I know there's some granite in there and some quartz, but I might not even be right on those! Same rocks, different angle... This one was one of my absolute favs: I tried to get a pic of the other side as well, but it was focused on the wrong thing. I am really interested to know what this is: It has beautiful deep red/burgundy in it, and it is turned to different hues depending on how much of the white rock is in front of it. I know these pictures aren't the best.

I love all those different greens. Can't wait to see them all finished up.
