I am just learning how to do carving I see where jade carver seems to be a great place to buy tools from for this adventure. Which tools do you buy I see a total kit group that comes in alot of different grits if anyone would like to suggest some tools to get me started I would appreciate it. So far Ive had gotten a little diamond tools set from a lapidary supplier who knows what grit it came in lol . My issue is getting my ridges smoothed out.

For starters, get a Foredom TX. Then add the carving kit of mandrels.
Dave Clayton of Jade Carvers is a fine source. He facets, also.

For starters, get a Foredom TX. Then add the carving kit of mandrels. Not cheap though! I'd recommend a small (or mini) bench grinder with a flexible shaft driver for starters. Add/ upgrade when you know that this is for you and the time you pass doing the hobby justifies the spend. IMHO...

Foredome look alikes sets can be had for a very reasonable price to start with. Upgrade when you know that this is something you really like and use often.
