What is the typical largest size thundereggs you guys have seen?
Up here in areas the average is basketball size ranging up to something weighing in at over 300 lbs... In some other beds they can be smaller weighing at least 1-3 lbs eachand in other areas there is softball size... Hard to find much smaller than that.

Deschuttes River Canyon eggs easily reached 300#. Nothing like Willow Creek eggs but big for Oregon ones. Seen big'uns of a foot or so at Hauser but in the olden days I heard there were much larger in the area. Opal Mountain near Barstow had big ole foot plus diameter ones. Was taking my trail bike over a hilltop and there were so many you could hardly get through them but they were mostly all matrix with small centers. Those Mexican Janos eggs are huge too but, though the agate is beautiful, again they are over a foot sometimes but mostly matrix....Mel

Define "typical".
Typical worldwide?
Usa?
This question is so vague as to be un-intelligible.

Oh yeah, I forgot the Baker eggs too. Used to find a good many from six inches to a foot or so but the big'uns were ether egg conglomerates or mostly fill with intergrown quartz crystals. Berkeley Hills eggs from my youth got big too. Lots in the 8-12 inch range....Mel
