Went to a local rock swap last weekend. I picked this slab up for a buck. It was marked as wood, but I'm not so sure. It's very silicified, should polish nicely.

Any ideas other than wood?

I also got this piece of rhodochrosite for $10. It's 2.75" across where it meets the host rock and .375" thick. Thinking that may have been a good deal.

Everyone wants the chocolate "Biggs" (old "Biggs"),but its all nice in my opinion...
