Did you read this Book? Does EMF affect Physiology? The Body Electric was written by Dr. Robert Becker as a result of his attempts during the second world war to regenerate body parts lost by our soldiers. Why can some creatures regrow body parts and others cannot? A valuable read!

Absent socialism, half o’ you goobers wouldn’t have electricity. : ) I'm sure most of us are aware of the New Deal and the project to bring electricity to rural areas. There's plenty of debate to be had on that subject, but it belongs in the Cave.

1dave - Let's not go down the political road. Plenty of open space in the Cave.

Those must have been scarry take-offs, and landing was worse. Agreed, like driving off the edge of a cliff. Probably fortunate that they didn't have fuel enough to come back and land on the carrier - not that things went wonderfully in China, but I'd think they could have lost more lives landing/overshooting that short deck.

The entirety of my father's WWII Navy deployment was spent on this ship. I'm kind of glad he survived. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Salamaua"Just before 0900 on that day, a kamikaze carrying two 551-pound (250 kg) bombs crashed into Salamaua's flight deck.[1] 15 men were killed, and over 80 injured. Damage was extensive: the flight deck, the hangar deck, and spaces below were set ablaze; one of the bombs, failing to explode, punched through the starboard side at the waterline; power, communications, and steering failed; and one of her engine rooms flooded, preventing repairs to her starboard engine, which had quit.[1] But by 0910, her gunners had splashed two more kamikazes."
