The weather was nice yesterday, so I went over to the Holleywood Ranch to pick up some petrified wood. Called Brad to be sure it was ok, details are on his website. I was the only one out there since they moved the rock shop, but there was still plenty of wood to be found. Lots of variety, some more agatized than others. I found a lot of pieces, but only took a small piece of sycamore, and a large piece of some unidentified species. The large piece rings like a bell when you tap it. I am hoping that it is nice and solid. If so, it will end up being a large bowl.
