Brought a few of these back from Maui and decided to do a bit of grinding to see what lay beneath the ugly exterior and was amazed to see the rays following the ridges on the outside of the shell! Hard to capture the Mother of pearl iridescence with a cell phone. Thinking of filling the backs of them with Devcon plastic steel to keep them from breaking and also add some Black so the iridescence really stands out. No Maui Diamonds were found, but did score some nice coral pieces I will cab and make a special piece of jewelry for the Wife and new Daughter in law. They came from the beach where our son proposed to his new Wife, so will be a special memento

Not ugly!!
What is the size? Looks like it would make a great pendant.

Not ugly!! What is the size? Looks like it would make a great pendant. They look ugly before being introduced to the Cab King :-). Didn't measure these two, but roughly 30x40 mm. Would make a pretty belt buckle also
