Is there a way to get rubber off of steel Without hurting the steel the rubber has Died and turned to plastic in some spots I been grinding it out of the steel tumbler Should be a easyer way to remove it

Kerosene does horrible things to rubber, turns it to mush. When you are cleaning the mess out use disposable gloves, the black mess will stain your hands, get a box of gloves because they fall to pieces quickly with the kero.

any of that stuff cut urethane glue that is what they glued the rubber in with if I could find a urethane remover that works

I guess you could heat it up and soften the rubber. Not near acetone though !!

It is sprayed in rubber no I don't have it cleaned Out yet got to do some more grinding To cut the rubber on the other side of the tank And around the opening I am working on this In the house trying not to burn the place down

Be careful with that acetone, it has a real low flash point. Used Xylene and MEK to loosen rubber from roller cores and molded in inserts in the day, work for a rubber company.
