I am looking to try out some wire wrapping so I'm looking for a small box of slabs that I can cut some shapes out of, tumble and wire wrap. I do not have any cabbing tools. I'm not sure how thick these slabs should be, so I am looking for a little guidance. I would like for all the slabs to be about the same hardness so they can be tumbled together. This doesn't have to be award winning material either.
Or maybe if you have a bunch of random preforms sitting around and want to get rid of a few that would also work.
I hope what I typed above actually makes sense to someone!
Thanks in advance Dave

Have you had any offers, yet? I can probably scare up some preforms.

I have not had any replies yet. I was going to post in the slab forum, but wasn't sure if that was breaking any rules.

I can send some preforms, but I don't know if I have a lot of the same hardness. I don't tumble, so I'd have to wing it. Or, you could do a couple batches.
I'll send you a pm.

You won't have to worry so much about the variance in hardness, Dave, you won't be putting them in the rotary. Your new Lot O will handle them all at once. I throw everything from obsidian and amethyst to Montana's in there together. The action is aggressive, but gentle, if that makes sense. They won't be crashing into each other. Hey jump all over Telas offer!!! She has great stuff!!! Just use the edge of your saw blade to preform any squarish areas because the Loto does not round!
Great of you to offer Tela!

Thanks rockjunquie, I have sent you a PM.
Thanks Garage Rocker for that info. That sure makes things easier!
And finally, thanks orrum. I thought I specified in my post that I was looking to purchase some slabs, but I left out that word. "Wanting to buy" might have been a better title.
Have a great day!

I don't think it really needs to be stated, but I'm going to say it anyways - rockjunquie is a wonderful person! Thank you for the package you sent today. It should keep me busy for a bit.
