The USPS site is only giving me price quotes for 1 day shipping. Nothing for packages that I don't mind if it takes longer. Since this person is buying inexpensive items, the price of shipping is going to kill the sale if there's no option other than 1 day shipping... the price is out of proportion to what's being sent.
Thanks if anyone can help me with this. Can't honestly believe there's no way to get "regular" shipping prices online now?

I tried that several times in a row and it didn't show anything else other than Media Mail, which they already know it's rocks, so they won't let me use Media Mail.
I think it's because it's only 90 minutes away so they know it will be delivered in one day. But it used to be cheaper to deliver things closer, so I was confused...

Or perhaps several post offices. It can sometimes take a while to find a knowledgeable and helpful employee. But they do exist! For sure they still have First Class which is inexpensive for light weight stuff, but you have to fill out extra forms and pay extra for delivery proof. I am betting that they haven't made any major changes (or there would have been some noise over it) and it is a web issue. Back in the day you could get all the rates on paper. It was way more convenient than their site. Hopefully someone who mails more (especially rocks) will chime in. My mailing days (media rate for printed paper) are over.

I think that is your answer. They are being more precise now with their delivery time and so the 2 day "option" is not even an option. First class is next option, and usually 1st class is only 1 day (or 2-3 at most) slower for most items.

Yeah, that's what I'm using. I ended up just guessing at a price and told her I'll refund if I find out I overcharged after I visit the post office...

Are you using flat rate or weight based shipping?
