I needed some new stones to cab. So I went to Quartzite in June. Got some great stuff. Then Before I could make any cabs, I got shingles on my right thumb. Very frustrating. I couldn't do anything. Took a week off work for the pain, took pain pills, had new rocks, and couldn't do anything with them. Anyway, My thumb is still tingly a bit but I finally got some cabs made and wrapped. got some nice sodalite Moonstone cab I bought, This one said it needed beads instead of wire. Another cab I got from a friend. Ammolite. Very flashy. wrapped this one in gold although the photo doesn't show it well. and another fun one. Thanks for looking. Amy

Some really nice eye candy in this group. Hard to pick a favorite but at the moment I'll go with the ruby in fuschite.

You are very good at making really classy wraps without covering up half of the stone. Looks like a true artist has been busy. Jim

Hi and welcome back! Sorry to hear about your shingles, I can't imagine having it on my thumb, ouch! But you sure didn't let it stop you. These are beautiful! I love them all, but the 2nd and the first sodalite are my favs.

Glad to see you and your work back again, Amy. Although I have never had shingles personally, I know people that have. Surprised you were able to do so much!! (Now I have no excuses for not getting things done, lol.)
Will not even attempt to pick a favorite, they are all wonderful! Jean

Thanks everyone. Actually I did those during the last 2 weeks. my hand was out of commission for a couple months. Just getting it wet hurt. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. It still feels numb and tingly, and only really hurts once it gets pruney from the drip system. Then I have to stop for the day.

These are very good. I especially like the sodalite and ammolite! And I would love to see your wraps from the side and back view also. I've been wrapping for almost a year and have very few that I am proud of. Am using silver plated craft wire and can not seem to get the "hang" of it. Using tutorials and YouTube videos hasn't helped and am just frustrated. I'll not give up but boy this learning curve is way steeper than I thought it would be. Thanks again for sharing.

I didn't see this thread until today, guess it slipped by me. Glad to see you back wrapping and it looks like you are still doing the same wonderful work so glad to see. I have tendonitis in my right arm which is slowing me down so I haven't wrapped in a few months.
