I am sitting on about 5-7 pounds of this material, with the majority of it being high quality. I would be happy to sell a small amount of rough material, at a lot less than what people are selling it for. So a fist size chunk that weighs about 200 grams? This is my high quality material, so just let me know. I just joined the group, so hopefully sharing the good stuff will provide a warm welcome from everyone.......so I can't figure out how to add a pic?!?!?! I will just make my profile pic Arizona Pietersite until I figure out how to post pics.

Mike, I have a 10-15 pound chunk that I brought back from Arizona a few months ago. As far as I know, it's pretty good material. I can cut off a chunk send it to you. 3-5 pounds be ok?

You need to find some of the California Tiger eye. It's even nicer. Comes from or came from the Best Bet Mine, Applegate, Placer County, CA. Beautiful swirly light blue/green and gold stuff that rivals pietersite....Mel

Scott, Yeah it kinda is the same color combinations but I've never had any plasma with chatoyancy.. I've tried and look up the Best Bet Mine numerous times with no luck. Wondering if the guy who used to sell the California material ever registered the mine site or, since most all the mines by our old ranch were not listed and many were quite famous, maybe the mine registries only list active mines. Not sure how that works....Mel

Interesting thread!!! I had forgotten all about a small slab of the stuff I have stashed away. Pretty much a dead ringer for the cab shown in the Arizona Tiger eye section.
Merry Christmas all!

When I first acquired the slab I have, I did a ton of searches and found the material is found in both Arizona and California. I can not attest to the accuracy of the info I found, but my slab looks very much like the first cab in Scott's .......er....... Mr. Muggin's post above.
