Totally cool coral James!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been looking for a mother load vein of the same. There is a spot in the river where the polyps are better. What a coincidence, I had some polyps sampled from my "river" a couple of weeks ago.

Fire hose? Grit may embed in hose, have different pieces for different grits. Cut fire hose for compartments ? 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀 The thick rubber ones for outdoor use. Different sizes men's, women's, youth & mini. I was experimenting with one to use on a homemade vibe. I wouldn't slice them up just make an opening (at the valve stem-weak point maybe?) large enough to get the rocks in/out. Self contained compartments cheap enough to be disposable.

Looking for two pieces of 3/4 thick flat rubber cut to fit tightly and wedge into the cross section of this hopper. Tight but removable for cleaning. Dividers that can be moved around for different sized big rocks. To make a left-middle and right compartment. Big rock in each compartment. That way each compartment would have the contour of the hopper for designed movement. I am having a hard time finding 3/4 to 1 inch thick flat rubber stock. May have to cut it out of the sidewall of an old tractor tire.

Different brand of el cheapo AO 80 blasting media to try. To replace 220-500 and probably 1000 step in rotary. First rotary trial worked well going from AO 80 in rotary to AO 500 in vibe. Worked well in the vibe many times skipping 220-500 and 1000. AO 24 on back order.

Ha ha, I have been looking at those MrMike. $40. seen them. I have a complaint about them, the bottom side is not flat but gridded out with divots. Pretty sure the vibe will be packing rocks into those divots and trapping unbroken grit. The top side is perfect, the texture is perfect, the thickness is perfect. They are a bit porous like a sponge though. Don't like that either. Shopped at industrial rubber suppliers on the inet for dead solid rubber. Either they won't sell a small amount or they max out at 1/2 inch. Frustrated.

I'll take anything at this point.

To get a firm compression fit I am leaning toward thicker than 1/2 inch. And close to tennis shoe sole/pencil eraser hardness. Firm fit due to unknown forces it the vibe. No idea what to expect... Cutting and grinding rubber is a pain, want to get it right on the first try. Might as well do overkill on the thickness. Seen those Home Depot pads, they are foam. Looking for solid rubber.

Thanks Bob. Divots on backside and foam might be a problem. Ha ha, I have been looking at those MrMike. $40. seen them. No problem jamesp. On Amazon look below the image of the sheet where it says: Size Name 6"x12", click the > to the right & you will see more sizes available in this thickness.

Waded thru the sizing and got it. Thanks. Ordered 6" X 12" X 3/4". Need two 5.5" X 5.75" -perfect and little waste. No room for mistakes. May challenge my bandsaw, will take it slow.
