Very cool picture show. Loved seeing all the old California materials. Got an ID for you. Your mystery agate Img 2589 is Manhattan Mine Lace Agate. The agate was found in the top layer of the Manhattan Mine ( McLaughlin Mine) in Napa County near Knoxville many years ago and only shows up in old collections now as the stuff is all buried. The gold here was a hot springs type gold deposit and the agate was a hydrothermal chalcedony in the mines cap rock. Think the mine has since been abandoned....Mel
