They new ones are empty. The inside volume is smaller than they look. The dirty on is an old 16 pound barrel with the big bloodstone. It is grinding. VCR camera is very sound sensitive. Accentuates sound.
I guess the hex on the open end should be ground off of the other 3 small barrels. Probably grind them right there 'lathe style' as they are spinning with an angle grinder.
The smaller barrels should hold 6-7 pounds, 2-3 pounds of that will be one big stone.
Note- The older 16 pound barrel has a thick wear sleeve in it. So it is only 5 inches inside diameter. I think the 2 pound bloodstone got wedged last night because of the smaller 5 inch diameter and 1-2 inch tumbles. The new barrels are 6 inches inside. Regardless, when tumbling a big rock make sure the other rocks are not too big or else a wedge may happen. And better to run barrel at 5/8 full to prevent wedging. I added too many rocks yesterday.
Rear shaft is 55 RPM, front shaft ~30 RPM.
