Melbourne north and south, and stretch of beach along NE Florida.
NE coastal Florida has dodged such events miraculously for many years. Beach along that section particularly sensitive. Estimating 12 to 18 foot surf waves. 8-10 foot surf waves devestating, much less 12-18.
May be some fine fossil and artifact hunting but at a huge price.

I have never understood why people build so close to the beach but then again I live within the blast zone of Yellowstone park. I hope they dodge the big one and nobody gets hurt but that is seldom the case. Jim

Just saw they are allowing all lanes of the interstate in Georgia to go west to double the amount of cars getting away. James, are you concerned for your Florida camp or your neck of the woods at home? Have to admit, though I feel really bad for those who suffer loss, whenever I see flooding erosion or landslides on the news I find myself wishing to go look for rocks and fossils. Can't even fathom the amounts of rain they are predicting not to mention possible storm surge. Praying for it to head east.

I hope that any RTH'ers in the area are safe. Everyone else, too, of course. Hurricanes are nothing to fool around with.... unless it is a 1 then you have a kick ass hurricane party.
