Hey Gang,
I know it's been a really long time since I've posted here, my eyesight started going south a few years back and lapidary work has just not been as much fun for me now that I have to wear corrective lenses.
On top of that now I am looking at a move to Minnesota, so I'd like to offer up most of my stones and equipment to people who will appreciate them and make good use of it all.
(sorry I don't have time to take and post recent pictures, but if you search for my old posts you should be able to find pictures going back to my purchase and restoration of the big gear)
Highlites include;
Lortone 18" slab saw with extra oil and 2 blades, asking $500 (and you'll have to arrange transportation)
Sale pending on this so it's spoken for, sorry!
Star Diamond 6" cabbing rig, 2 hard wheels 2 expando wheels, with a spare felt wheel, leather end pad, (and a box full of belts for the expando)
I'll throw in a little phenolic polishing spool thingy with some diamond pastes- $250 takes all that, a dopping wax pot, and a box of mixed slabs.
The classic "work force" 7" tile/trim saw with a couple of hot dog blades and one really thin kerf slightly undersized (6") gem slice blade- $50 takes that and I'll throw in a bin or two of mixed slabs for you to play with.
$50 will also get you all of my tumblers, most of the frames and motors are not in their best shape, but there's a bunch of 1.5 and 3 lb Lortone drums, 2ea 6 lb drums and a box full of various grits, polishes, and plastic pellets. That lot is SOLD, sorry!
I'm probably only keeping my flat lap, so everything else has to go.
Well, all the hardware has departed, but there are still a few bins of old end cuts and miscellaneous bins of rocks in various states, so anyone in the bay area needing to add to their stash is welcome to give me a ring and stop on by
my cell phone is 510 541-2306, shoot me a text or give me a call if you are interested in any of the leftovers.
