There is more to do with cabs than wrapping or smithing. These are very addicting to make. Takes a bit of time. But you can really be creative. Don't ever throw away misc. beads. They can be used like this. The photos made the sizes be reversed. The last one is actually the largest with the blue one being the smallest. Rhodocrosite cab. Denim lapis donut, with lapis and sodalite beads. 2 Bloody basin cabs. Thanks for looking. Amy

Those are amazing, love the way the bead work complements the stones, about how long does it take to bead one of them??

It takes about 6 - 8 hours total. Not all in one sitting. usually over a week.

No soutache, Beads and cabs only. I have not tried soutache yet. But I have seen it. I like the bead embroidery better.

Boy that must take you forever! I have never seen rhodochrosite that dark before, neat. The rhodocrosite is dark because a black fabric foundation is showing through from the back. These take me from 6 to 8 hours each to make. Not all at once as my eyes go buggie after a couple hours of beading.

They're lovely. I was going to say that I'll move on to beading when I've mastered cabbing and setting, but in fact I have done some beading but have still to master the others!
