Howdy folks, Cut a couple from my rock hunt in the Eagle Pass, Tx gravel pile..Mel Small but real nice: This turned out to not be bacon lace. Some other kind of banded jasper agate. Very solid and hard material anyway.

Definitely an interesting jasper piece. Great stuff, Mel.
Eagle Pass ... Will look that up on Google Maps. Sounds like a great place to go rockhounding.

I say that bacon lace looks awfully familiar to an agate I discovered while in SoCal... nice stuff, great color in the first agate.
