My daughter wanted a rock tumbler. We live in a one-bedroom apartment. I think you can see where this is going About two days into owning the tumbler, I decided that I couldn't take the non-stop sound. I tried a number of ways to silence the tumbler, to no avail. Finally, I decided to create a dead-quiet tumbler enclosure. After looking at the fancy baffle designs of others, I realized that I didn't want any sound coming out, not even muffled. How then to get the heat out of the enclosure while having full sound isolation? I installed a water-cooling system, meant for high performance gaming computers. Heat comes out, sound stays in. My daughter decided she doesn't want a tumbler anymore. It was lots of fun while we were into it. I'm selling the tumbler and remaining grit/polish for $150 (just about the cost of the tumbler kit itself). The enclosure cost $$ to build and plenty of time. Can only sell locally because it's quite heavy. I can't get the photos to upload here, but I have it listed on craigslist: newjersey.craigslist.org/jwl/5808246797.htmlIt looks a little crazy, but I guarantee that you've never heard a quieter tumbler. You have to pretty much put you ear on the enclosure to hear it. - Jon

Just a heads up but your craigslist ad says $150 in the title but says $100 firm at the bottom

I think I was asking $150 but would take $100 at this point. It's really cool and took a bunch of time, but it's taking up room in our one-bedroom apartment. I can deliver within 50 miles of 07940 if that helps (it's pretty heavy). Oh, also, we only ran about 3-4 batches through it, at about 40 days a batch, so minimalish runtime for a tumbler. - Jon

Any takers for $50? Can deliver within 20 miles of 07940. Hate to let it go so cheap, but could use the room in the apartment.
