Looks like you've got some really nice material. I really like the turitella with the blue agate in it, and of course that red brecciated one looks familiar lol

Awesome cuts! that real black turritella is the real good stuff and you got the orientation perfect. Beautiful! That Rosebud Agate ( AKA Jasper, AKA Rose Rock *L*) actually more of a jasper, as it's opaque, not translucent, is pretty darn rare these days. One of the few quartz gems out of Oklahoma too. That last one looks a lot like some of the George West limb casts. Does that have a common name or location attached?.....Mel

Thanks for sharing some knowledge! Just want everyone to know these slabs where cut from the "Howe collection", the rose agate is nice ! And saber52 the last one I don't think was a limb cast the rough looked more botryoidal with moss or something in the middle? I have a picture of the rough will post it later, Any input on the one with the ghost botryoidal? I think it is priday agate, does anyone know? Thanks,

Those George West limb casts are extremely botryoidal. There are also these weird botryoidal things out there I just call agate balls. They are associated with the pet wood but don't appear to be wood. Don't know quite what they are but they are real mossy or plumy inside.
So many folks cut turritella across the shells instead of along their long axis.. Easier to vice that way and more cuts, but the most beautiful patterns are usually obtained by cutting the agate parallel to the top and bottom of the vein for those beautiful full shell patterns....Mel

Nice slabs for sure!!!! That should keep you busy for awhile!! Thanks Fossilman, I am completely out of my mind right now, when I joined RTH, I had a simple plan, but shortly after I was hit with a rock avalanche! Now I need to rethink everything?
