My digging buddy's wife sends chunks of wood off to be made into cabs. I tried to tell her to make them herself but she was having none of that.
thought that I would post a photo showing the ones she sent me today, They really show why I like petrified wood.

Very nice pet wood, I don't think anything beats petrified wood as far as variety! Great cabs,

Looks like they got some scraps at a cabinet shop and sanded them into cabs!!
Awesome!

Very pretty. Did you put those in a vibe to polish them up after you shaped them, or is that a hand-polish? I am not wise in the ways of cabbing, but would really like to learn more about it. I have a trim saw with an arbor for three wheels, but I get into analysis paralysis on what to buy, and think I need to get THE most-expensive options. I'm not good at baby steps. =) Sorry to derail your post, those are beautiful!
