Hi all! Mike from Paradise Ca. Newish to rock hounding and working with rocks/minerals.
My wife and I have always liked looking for "crystals", IE Quartz. We decided after a few years to join the local club, and went on our first "big" trip this past spring, McDermitt NV. All I can say is WOW! What a fun place. Got lots of Agate, Gary Green, wood, and Thunder eggs. I'll get some pics. of the Eggs, so far very few "duds". With all the rocks I just "had"  to start buying equipment. So far a Lortone 14" slab saw, Lortone tumblers (2) and a 10" Star Diamond flat lap that was donated.

Welcome to the RTH! How much fun it sounds , I spent my teenage years in San Jose ca. I had the best summers ever in San Jose!
