Thanks for the tip Ron! I buy from Cabela's all the time (hubby is a big hunter/fisherman). But I had no idea they sold tumbling equipment. I will definitely have to check that out.

Hate to throw course grit in yer polish, but the $89 Ultra-Vibe is not the one you want for rocks. There's another model - same name - but with an "Industrial" on the end. And that's the one you want. Much more sturdy unit. The cheap one is for polishing brass casings. This I know, because I bought the 89 bone one before someone here schooled me. I returned it to Cabelas for credit without opening it.
They did say they could special order me an Industrial, but I was too anxious and went somewhere else.

Wow! Great prices. I'm going here for my next model B. Maybe I'll get a ultra vibe 18 too.

Well, I recieved my Thumler's Model B from Cabela's today and I learned something new. Not all Model Bs are the same. Cabela's only sells the "high speed" unit. With a 3000 RPM motors that thing really rocks! Scared the begeezers out of me when I plugged it in. Good news, Thumler's will swap me even for the correct 1550 RPM motor. One day I'm gonna be a two Model B man. One day. Ron That's good information to know. Who did you contact to swap the motor?

I think that is useful information for e-bayers, like me too! Is there any way of knowing visually the difference in the motor speed on the Thumlers model 'B'?
