It is fairly abundant in Wyoming too. Sweet stone and it takes a nice shine. Jim

This particular specimen having a finer grain and marbling , i believe has been formed differently than more coarse grained granites , possibly metamorphosed after formation . the feldspar,quartz and epidote are all melted together, so a smooth material without the crazing fractures .

Unakite is so pretty and it looks like you have some high quality slabs of it.

There's a bunch of that in Lake Superior. I have tumbled more unakite than any other rock. Great stuff.

Do you find a lot of this quality Unakite tandl ? No,But if i had more time i`m sure i could find more of it,have found other before. This is the biggest piece i have found .i only went hounding twice the whole summer,busy farming and fixing around the house. It is glacial material.
