Went digital and made 2 vids of part of my collection. I still have 5 crates on the back porch that I go thru occasionally for fun. (I don't know where my sleeping beauty went, it used to be in the display cases.) Sorry the first part is the wrong angle. And yes, in #2 I said Serpentine but it's Travertine marble. Duh. Mouth moves faster than brain. Enjoy! Rock collection Pt. 1Rock collection Pt. 2

I love Show & Tell threads like this. Thank you for taking the time to make the videos and share them with us!

Coming back to add that my favorites were your hemimorphite that you collected at the 79 Mine. Nice pieces!

Thanks all. It was fun to do but my camera card would only hold one part at a time, then I had to put it on computer and delete, then do 2nd part. That's why I said I had to hurry. I only had 9 minutes free.
You guys should do this, too. It was really fun even if my mind did spazz out on a few items. I can't believe I called Travertine, Serpentine. Argh. That hemimorphite (my avatar here) is chock full of amazing crystals. The camera didn't do the wulfenite much justice, either. But I've been watching other peoples' vids about their collections on youtube and thought, hey, I can do this, too. There was a lot I didn't get to, I might do one more video.

Coming back to add that my favorites were your hemimorphite that you collected at the 79 Mine. Nice pieces! I love hemimorphite. What's so amazing is that it takes so many completely different forms. I almost refused to believe at the time it was all the same mineral, but the 6 geologists I went down the 79 with were adamant. And I stopped being scared once we made it down the 19th century ladders and went into the big room. When we turned off all but one tiny light, the entire room sparkled so much it looked like the night sky. Twinkle twinkle. I know it was a stupid thing to do, going down an abandoned mine, but I'm glad I did it and I'll never do it again
