Taking a break form the norm and making Christmas gifts. My younger daughter has been a dog handler for about 8 years and loves dogs more than people- seems. So, to try out a new skill, pierced work, I made this in 20 gauge copper and gave it a patina. A couple small mistakes, but I didn't break any blades. The tiny holes on the right are from where I put starter holes for a tiny paw and then realized it was too small to saw. I also put the hole for the bail too close to the edge. Oh well. I'm happy overall.

For your tiny paw, could you finish it up using a disk cutter(punch), or rivet punch?
It is a special piece and looks like a ton of work sawing and filing. Your daughter will be delighted!
Thanks for showing.

Thanks for showing. Thank you! Unfortunately, no. Those holes are from probably a #65 drill bit. Super duper tiny. A #3/0 blade would just fit in those holes.

I really like that piece. If you had not mentioned the little issues I would not have noticed.

The patina magnified all the tiny things. I see them, but they certainly aren't all that bad for my first go. My next project is for something much smaller and more complicated. Had to order new blades and drill bits first, though. I'll post it when I finish it. ETA: Here is the next project. Don't know if I can do it, but I'm gonna try.

That is a lot of work and looks great. Maybe drill the center pad hole in that tiny footprint a touch larger and it'll fit right in with the design.
And that cat - wow! Good luck lol

Good luck lol I had thought of that. I think after hearing another opinion on it, I'll try to make that bottom part of the tiny paw bigger. Christmas is a ways away- I should have time.

I just googled dog paw print tag. There are lots of them. However, yours is the best. Very few, if any, are pierced; most are stamped.
