Feb.6 I ordered a 12" lortone slab saw from these guys. Two weeks later they e-mailed me back saying they just got back from the Arizona show and want to know if I still want to buy the saw. I said yes. They said it will take 6-8 weeks to get it. I told them that will be fine because I wasn't ready to saw anything yet. Then 2 weeks later I buy a saw from someone local. I tried for almost a month now to get a hold of these people at gemusa to cancel my order and no reply. Last week they cashed my check and today I get a call from some over nite freight service that they have my saw and it is going to cost 150.00 in shipping costs. This guy has not been a good source for me.

Brett, I can help you try to get your money back. Don't know if it will be successful, but I can tell you how to go about it.
Did you order this saw through the internet? If so, did they tell you what the shipping would be? Did they send you a receipt, including shipping?
DO NOT accept delivery of the saw. Tell the shipping company that you did not agree to $150.00 in shipping charges and furnish them with a receipt, showing what shipping charges you agreed to, if you have one.
Once GEMSUSA has the saw back, they have to refund your money. They will try to keep the shipping charges, but if you did not agree to $150.00, they can't subtract that amout from what they should refund to you.
If they didn't send you a receipt, showing shipping charges, it will be alot harder to get all of your money back, so I am hoping you got a receipt.
Gotta go right now, but will get back to ya' later.

Well I called Lortone and they were very helpful. They gave me all the info. I needed. i called Gemsusa up and told him that I have been trying to get a hold of him and he knew I have been e-mailing him. He said it was his fault and he will send my money back. But to me it sounded like "damn ! he called me now I have to give him his money back. I was hoping he kept e-mailing me and I wasn't going to e-mail him back so maybe he will keep the saw.

That's good! I never thought about calling Lortone! that was a good idea! Guess there's no better way to keep a shop honest than to call the manufacturer of the products they sell and voice a complaint!
Guess GEMSUSA is going to send you ALL your money back and eat the shipping?

Jim Brian is the man I talked to at Lortone. A very nice guy. Lortone should be happy they have him.

I 've orderd some rough from this guy over a month ago. All i have recieved is a confirmation of order email. I have talked to him once and he said he had been at a show and would get my order out soon. About a week ago I sent an email to cancel this order with a request to verify my request with in 7 days. Still no response. This company really "BITES"

Bill the only way you are going to get a hold of Berny is to call him on the phone. The number is 1-520-762-0100. I have asked him many times if he had received my e-mail and he says yes. but he will never e-mail you back. I'm now dealing with him because the freigh service sent me a bill for 150.00 for shipping on the saw i didnt get. Berny said he will take care of it. Which I told him, "yes you will"

My only dealing with them was not the best. I ordered a tumbler and grit from them before Christmas. The tumbler was sent ok, but I had other stuff on backorder that I never did get. They wouldn't answer emails, etc. It seems like when they went to a show, all else stopped. I don't think I ended up paying for the stuff I finally cancelled.
