Great finds! Those should get him hooked. You may have made a partner. How many buckets can he carry?

Great finds! Those should get him hooked. You may have made a partner. How many buckets can he carry? He swims 5,000- 6,000 yards a day, 5-6 days a week. The boy is in better shape than I ever thought about being! That said, he should be able to carry at least 2! I need to get him hooked before I load him up too much. I can see the bobber starting to go under!

So, two buckets and a backpack it is. Glad he's taking an interest.

Those are so cool! How old is your son? He's 13. It was very cool! Not sure who was more excited, him for finding them, or me for potentially having a new rockhounding buddy.

I think it's pretty special and memorable for a person that age making those finds, good for you for taking him out. Hope it sticks with him.

Very cool finds, hopefully he enjoys it & wants to go back. It great to have something you can do together. If he's not into it maybe you should try swimming with him for the 5-6k yards/day to see if you enjoy that....

We plant seeds and water them......some take root and others don't. I'll be happy tending to any that take root, even if it's not the ones I want. The time together is the most important part!

I can hunt rocks for 12-14 hours and walk umpteen miles doing it, but put me in a pool and I'll kill myself in 200 yds!

Those are 2 awesome finds. The icing on the cake of spending the time together!
I'm thinking those strong swimmer's shoulders should be able to handle 2 FULL 5 gallon buckets! 😋

Tell your son super cool find on both that has to be a moment, hope you grow well together! Maybe get him his own collecting bag and stuff , can be found at thrift stores good quality cheap price, try getting your son to sign on RTH to show his finds and the great response he will get? Thank for showing!

"That said, he should be able to carry at least 2!"
He is hired !! The point has to have him hooked. Kids LOVE arrowheads.
