Before putting away my tile saw for the winter, I did some cutting of a few small rocks. Bad idea, my hands froze in the -7 weather. Good idea, because I was very pleased with two of the rocks.
The first pic is small silver veins in rock. The second pic is dendritic silver ore.
I cut them 1 CM thick, for a gift to a friend in Sweden, who intends to cab
them.

Super coolio.
Haven't cut mine. Still pondering how I can get a proper analysis opinion if it is of meteoric origin.
Warm up!

First one looks like flames. Interesting since the weather there is -7. Beautiful! I have never been in such cold weather. And never want to be. Where are you?

It has warmed up slightly and is hovering around the freezing mark now, but we just got a foot of snow. For fun, I took a video of the cutting:

Very nice and interesting video, digging the slabs! I couldn't imagine running a tile saw at 32 degrees much less 7 below...

The trick is to start with hot water in the reservoir - Or at least it is better than starting with cold water. I was going to put the saw away, but it is now frozen outside to the table, with a foot of snow on top. It is supposed to warm up this week, so maybe I can get things away for the season and before my wife yells at me again.
