wigglinrocks posted a super grinder thread. Did not want to molest that thread any more. Just received this blade to consider/try. 5/8" center hole. Remove bushing to get 7/8". Diamonds on big side, look 25 to 30 grit, a good thing. They are not the little yellow octahedrons but are very sharp, also a good thing. No idea what type diamonds, just sharp. Diamond sintering width is 6mm and depth is 10mm. The critical factor is he hardness of the matrix that holds the diamonds. It is made for dry use which suggests hard matrix. Photos using microscope mode on Olympus TG-4 Sharp diamonds Effect of wiping quarter sized hard agate across diamonds twice with a few pounds of pressure Several wipes

Now that looks like a serious rock eater . I am still a little nervous about the notches though . Not saying I am clumsy , just get in a hurry at times .Do they have a continuous version of that wheel ?

Can that blade be used on an angle grinder to help in breaking down larger rock?

My machine set up at 2200 RPM, no chance of notches effecting. Feels continuous.

Can that blade be used on an angle grinder to help in breaking down larger rock? Yes. It is designed to be used on an angle grinder to remove mortar between bricks tinyshiney.

Scratch test positive. Rock is definitely softer than diamond.

I have some 100grit maybe take pics and pixel peep The photos at the start of this thread were taken to get an idea of what the diamonds look like. The sintering process makes it difficult to see the whole diamond. I could have stepped the camera from 3M to 16M and blown the images way bigger but I don't think it would help much because of the way they are buried in the matrix. Check this micro of sharp aluminum oxide 24 blasting media. Lines on paper = 1/4 inch
