I dont know if anyone has already talked of this place, but I was just searching and found it. www.aaa-industrialsupply.com/silicon_carbide_grits.htmlIf you scroll down a bit they have "rock tumbling blends", which is what we would get. 50# minimum, but for under a dollar/pound for 60/90 is pretty good. I don't know how their shipping rates are though.... [glow=red,2,300]-Jackson[/glow]

Thanks for the tip, but yes, definitely check shipping rates. I once looked into getting a 50 lb bag of 60/90 from some industrial company...I forget the company name....but it was $49 for the grit, and $184 for shipping!!!!

This is a GREAT place to buy from. I have bought from them and the product is wonderful, fast and cheap. They do charge a $15.00 fee for small orders and the shipping is very good. For 50 pounds of the 60/90 the shipping is $22.97 to get it to me. The total order for 50 pounds is $83.97. You can not beat that anywhere, but there are those who would love to sell it for $4.00 a pound plus shipping. BTW... 50 pounds will last a very long time. $1.68 a pound is what it comes out to in the end.

Storing large quanities of grit in Florida is a losing proposition....Although more expensive many smaller quanities used quickly is preferable down here..Unless you freeze your grit....LOL
