Frantom made four 36" slab saws, and I was fortunate enough to acquire one of them. It is a beast.
The vise is massive, and very difficult to return after a cut. I would like to add a hydraulic feed system to replace the screw-feed system the saw came with. I see suppliers using a system called a Powerglide. Not sure if this is the company supplying the system or the name the saw vendors use. The system Diamond Pacific uses both feeds and returns the vise. Their saws are all made to order though, and there is never one in the shop that I could look at to see how the system is installed.
Does anyone know anything about buying and/or installing a stand alone feed system on a saw? Not interested in trying to re-invent the wheel here, so I want to use a package the saws manufacturers use.
