I ordered some stuff for the grinder last night from Dad's Rock Shop. Ordered my other belts from them because Sands recommended them and was pleased with price and delivery. Called them a minute ago because I thought that I had seen on the website last night that they had spare parts for the TV5 vibe. On of the screws that holds the motor broke on mine and although I am working on repairing it, the Raytech people sure don't make it easy! This little tumbler works great, but it is built so that if something goes wrong, you can't get inside to the motor to repair it without cutting the springs and removing the top part, then finding more springs that fit, glueing them back in, etc.
Anyhoo, I called Dad's - they said they didn't sell just the base part, but did ask me what the problem was with mine. I told her I just needed the base part and explained the problem. I told her I could get one at Raytech or Kingsley North, but I wanted to check with them first since I had an order with them. She asked me what the price was at both places - $93 at Raytech and $85 at Kingsley North. She said hold on a minute, let me talk to my husband. She came back on and said they could send me one for $80.00 and would just add it to my order going out today if I wanted. YaHoo!
I am thinking they are just going to take the base out of one of their kits and send it. These are some really nice folks and get a big three thumbs up from me!
I'm still gonna repair my other one if it kills me! Found some springs, hardware store said gorilla glue would hold them in place, now just have to find a screw the right size to replace the one that broke. Then, I'll be in vibarator heaven!
