I haven't posted any slab shots in a while and had my camera with me when I was digging around in my slab boxes. Serendipity. Black plume agate Cathedral Agate Youngite - these are from different pieces of rough Turqouise Pet Wood - anyone know this type? Bird of Paradise 1 (?) Bird of Paradise 2 (?) Louisiana Sand Opal Neat Brazilian - I cut three slabs with this pattern and I cabbed one

Those are great slabs, The cab is amazing. Is the sand opal the same as concrete opal ?

Those are great slabs, The cab is amazing. Is the sand opal the same as concrete opal ? Right now it is natural, untreated sand opal from the Hidden Fire Opal Mine in Vernon Parish Louisiana. If I stabilize it I think it would be considered a "concrete" opal. I'm not really sure though..

I like the black plume and cathedral agate, but that second bird of paradise is special. Great cab too!
