Man, our thrift stores never have stuff like that! Nice finds! I live in a city, we mostly have clothes, clothes and more clothes... and overpriced junk. Not very much cool stuff. Used to find better things a while back though.

Wow! Wonderful finds. Really like the matching knife stand AND the nickel on the knife handle.
I like thrift stores, too. Fun stuff! Thanks.

That's a couple very nice finds, good for you.
We have a friend who was born deaf, doesn't speak, but a great reader and hand sign communicator. He has quite a rock collection that has, over the years, come from the thrift store within walking distance of his residence. Enjoyable for us to take him to a rock show, just like a kid in a candy store.

i bet he enjoys his thrift store as much as his trips with you to the rock shows, i could imagine his collection i have seen and found some nice rocks and minerals in them stores.when we get a chance we do a thrift store run from Pueblo co. and Colorado springs co. we hit 10 thrift stores in a single day,the kids love it as much as we do.

You should check out the thrift stores along Santa Cruz Ave in Menlo Park then. There are 4 or 5 quite close to each other. As it is a wealthier area, they can have higher end clothes at good prices. The only thing I have found in the way of rocks were some bolo ties with sort of nice agate cabs for $2 each several years ago. (I am photo-challanged as ever so no pics.)

Same here Mike, never pay full price for clothes. Find nice stuff for a fraction of normal retail. Not much for rocks here though. 😞

I found a nice pair of Maw sit sit hearts maybe 1/2 in. If I remember where I put them will show a pic. Don't for the life of me know what I will do with them, but any decent Maw sit sit is hard to find. Should be mounted in gold though.

I bought them on the spot, after haggling that is. He was just using them for a display. I just forgot where the stash is. Wouldn't make a good drug dealer or user for that matter. Addicted to rocks.

When I first moved here I checked out the local Pawn Shops for a pistol. LOTS of Silver and Turquoise.
Beat up worn out pistols at new pistol prices. Haven't bothered to go back.
Perhaps I should.
