hi all was webbrowsing and found cerium oxide for glass polishing for sale (not on sale) for $8lb.
Note. the $8 is white, and their $10 stuff is yellow. I've only ever seen yellow. has anyone used white or optical grade cerium oxide on rocks?
I notice arrowhead supply sells two kinds of cerium, the optical, and the polish. Not really sure which to get

optical grade (99.5%?) is commonly used for tumbling. There is at least one more step above that in purity (99.99%), which is quite expensive.
