This is my second run in my Loto. Gotta say I love this machine! It saves so much time and work. I ran it a little different than the 1st time. Recipe: 2 teaspoons AO 80, 1 Tablespoon Borax. Put rocks in wet and added 1 Tablespoon of water. I then added 1/2 Tablespoon of water every 12 hours for 2 and a half days (60 hours) 6am & 6pm 1/2 teaspoon AO 14,000 and 1 Tablespoon Borax for 2 days Here are the results. 1. Group 2. Pet Wood 3. 4. 5. 6. Those look like surface cracks but they are actually inside the rock 7. 8. Rock from txrockhunter9. 10. 11. Blue Quartz 12. Amethyst 13. 14. This might be my favorite and its just an 1" x 1/2" piece of trimming 15. Smalls Thanks for looking. Jake

My daughter would like to know where you got these rocks? We have some that look like a few of yours, but the blues, reds and greens....not so much!

The blue stuff is Blue Quartz that I bought from the RockShed. Most of the red stuff is Arizona Pet Wood that I got from a member here or its red jasper that I got from a mixed bag. The green stuff in these pics are Gary Green jasper that I also got from a member on this board also. The red rock in the close-up picture came from txrockhunter, he collects his stuff at a river local to him.

Those look good, Jake. Have you tried a more traditional Lot-O recipe to see how they compare? It's always hard to tell shine from from pictures because the photography makes a big difference. Number 8 is my favorite.

I haven't tried the traditional 120/200, 500, polish. I have plenty of grit to give it a go. I may run a more traditional batch once it warms a little and can get outside to do my clean ups.
The shine on these is a lot better than I get out of rotary. I had to move these around when I took pictures so that the reflection off the stones didn't get in the way of showing the rock. On the bottom of #8 there is a reflection of me holding the camera when I am taking the picture.
