I can't remember to whom I should give thanks for letting us know about this up for auction on eBay but THANK YOU! I'm it's new owner! It's the older model and a little louder than the new one but I love it. Since it's been used is there anything I should look at or be aware of? Also got this in today Didn't realize it needed its own concrete shop to bolt onto. Anyone want to share any pics of your Lot-O mounts?

Order one of these for Lot-O base. Check shipping costs first. Gotta read the fine print Mel.

I would like to say again that placing the rubber mat between the blocks and my basement floor worked wonders to stop the "humming" sound from being annoying upstairs. Not sure if your workshop is detached from the house.

Most people seem to have them mounted to a single concrete block but I like mine at work height so I used the 3 block method in the link below. Chuck I think she is only like 3 feet tall. One block should be work height.

Or just a second one of the same right next to the present one. Use one for the saws & tumblers and the other for your cabbing and whatever else you do. Lots of storage space that way.

just thinkin'
I know you have that purdy Lortone 12 saw coming soon. Have you ever used a slab saw before? Asking because that oil mist from the saw is going to be a whole new game for you if you aren't used to it.

With them dual barrel units, can you run just one? It's my understanding that you at least need some ballast in the other barrel. River gravel, marbles, or something. I know Jeremy uses one of those, but that guy has access to plenty of material. txrockhunter?

If you want to keep the twins well fed, make sure you have plenty of tumbling capacity! I keep about 120 lb's of rock tumbling and produces just enough to keep these guys full! Many variables in there (size, hardness, pre-shaping, grit size, etc., etc.). You can put some small rough in one of the barrels, to smooth out for filler, if you only want to run 1 load. You do need to keep both full when running. Looks like you are setting up a great work space!!!!! Here's my Mounting Setup - Used some construction adhesive between the blocks and a little under the lot-o to assist the double sided tape. Never took the time to paint them. Jeremy

25 lbs. keeps me hoppin', I'd have to hire staff at 120.

Can one barrel be filled with water just for the balancing weight?
