Those are really nice examples. For some reason Prairie agate fascinates me. I have a small pile out back and cut one now and then. Very pretty stuff but the insides often do not match the exteriors. Some are surprisingly scenic and all are hard as tacks....Mel

I agree with Mel. Made the mistake of cutting one once. Boring on the inside (which was quite a surprise by how the outside looked) and hard as tacks lol
They sure are cool to look at Brian. Nice group.

Dang Mel those are fantastic! Now that I have a real slab saw I guess it's worth investigating further. Cutting them by hand sucked!

I have a ton of Prairie Agates. A lot of them are pinkish to peachish color. Not necessarily great looking for pendants but if cut right they make great coasters.............MrP
