None better than the 303-S on the bigger saws. It's all I'll use.

On the larger saws, you'll find that the slotted blades carry more cutting oil to the cut, as well as doing a better job of clearing rock snot from the cut. Many years ago they made slotted lapidary blades all the way down to 10" size. I wish they still made them in the smaller sizes.

Thank you jakesrocks, makes sense, cleaning out the cut and better cooling, i plan on a little overhaul on the HP model U i found last summer, the guy i bought it from said it had been sitting since 1978 untouched! I brought it home sprayed the bearings with some lube an plugged it in and it has been slabbing since.but as it goes i will be replacing the blade, the belts an oil,and a good over all cleaning, can wait.

I use 303 blades on all my saws. But the last blade I purchaced was from the new highland park. I have my 18 frantom dialed in to .003 thousands from front to back and I have cut about 250 slabs on it the difference is the price and a .020 thousand kerf increase from the 303. The slabs come out and can begin to polish at 400 grit. Very smooth. I am not disappoint in the highland blade. Price difference was 160 dollars less than a 303

Love them BD 303s blades. Started with albeit cheap continuos and wrestled saw marks and curved cuts. Could have been a cheap blade....
Changed to BD 303s. BD 303s cuts wicked flat and when feed is run slow leaves a matte shine w/nary a saw mark.
Slotted blades can be rotated 15 to 20% faster. For one thing they have gaps so less diamond surface than a continuos. Certainly better lubrication and increased delivery of fresh cutting oil. ***Ventilates mud faster. Nothing better than a clean(mud free) blade.
My saw is an 18" with only a 1/2 HP motor. Never hear it straining lest blade needs dressing. Which is rare.
I did as instructed and upped the blade speed 20% by changing ONLY the blade speed pulley(not the feed).

Thank you guys, i will be running a new 24" MK 303 soon, the current blade is a green blade must have come with the unit when new im guessing, still cut's like a champ. There is a 24" MK 303 for 499.00$ plus 28$ shipping is that a fair price? Seems to be the best price i found,

303 segmented for sure. Performance is exceptional- never used a better blade. This blade seems to be the pretty much overwhelming choice of people who cut professionally.
