Well, The Rock Shed is 2 for 2 for quick, timely orders. I'm probably a customer for life. I ordered a separate barrel for the polish stage and a couple bags of grit. The order was processed and at my door in less than 5 days. I did get some treats too!!!!!
As a comparison, I paid close to $30.00 for a 5lb bag of 120/200 at our local shop in Salt Lake.....The Rock Shed was about $13.00. Shipping for the whole lot was about $4.00.
Anyway, just giving a shout out to them boys in the Dakota's.

I just got my aluminum oxide today also. I placed it on Monday, and today is Friday. Very quick service along with a treat. What a cool, personal touch. This was my first order from them, and there will be many more to come.

So you went to "Rockpick Legends" They are not well priced. Most thngs from them you can order cheaper off the net. Even with shipping you will pay less!
If you speak to the owner, Rick, he will usually match net orders. I wonder why he prices himself so high?
I did a comparsion of prices (including shipping) charges per pound.

I cannot get the Quattro Pro page to post with color.
My findings were that the The Rock Shed had the best prices for every grit size & polish type with the exception of 60/90 (which Industrial Supply had for $.012 less per lb at the 50 lb price)

Got my first order in the mail from The Rock Shed today - 26 lbs of varied grit and polish, and 15 lbs of tumbling rough (carnelian, blue agate, tigereye). What's up with the candy? S

I think I'll be ordering grit from them in the future too. I drove several miles through heavy construction to get to a local rock shop, and paid $25.00 for 5 lbs of 60/90. After seeing your post, I checked The Rock Shed's price and was duly annoyed. Next time I'll know better. Can I just say, I love having this board for reference!

Yea this board has saved me money on more than one occasion! I always tell the dealers I talk to that I saw them on rocktumblinghobby- they all know the board and I think I get special treatment (well maybe not- but you never know!)

Can't say enough about the Rock Shed! Got my order again in just a few days . Got several bags of grit/polish and some of th best amethyst I've been able to find yet ( wayyyy better than at shows around here and wayyy cheaper!). If it's all as good as the two orders I've gotten lately, I would advise you all get some. It's real pretty material for $5.00/pound!

I have ordered several times from Rock Shed. Believe it or not I just ordered my first rocks from them. Four pounds of Dark African Amethyst. They are going to be my winter project, am going to try to make some simple pendants and earrings, after I tumble and polish of course. I am also looking for Garnet, but they didn't have any, anyone know where I can get some? I did some very small pieces for someone else and loved them.

Have another 33B coming from Shawn right now. He even mailed it before he sent me a Pay Pal request for funds *S* I had to remind him he might want to get paid. He is such a nice fellow it's a pure pleasure dealing with his outfit!....mel
