Mud with shells that is... This was a little custom piece for one of Eva's favorite clients. I thought i was going to give it a patina but we like it better bright. Gives the stone more pop. I spread out the bail wires after these pics were taken.

Tommy Very Nice! Need to see the back please............................................MrP Thanks! Sorry - it's already boxed up and on it's way to the post office. Eva had her hand outstretched for it and it was all I could do to get a couple of pictures taken. One day soon I will get serious about writing the tutorial - or shooting a video tutorial - and remove the mystery once and for all For now I will say that the backbone style I developed was based loosely on this video. I have heard that there people have done similar styles over the years but I've never seen any of them in person or on the web.

Looks dry to me. Gotta be dirt and I must say you are the best dirt polisher I have ever seen.
I have been wanting to see the back of one of your wraps because I have one stone that I have not been able to wrap and thought your method might work. Now I am quite sure it will work. Thanks for the link. Jim
