ok, so this is not a rock seller, more of a tool seller. thought i'd get a better deal on shipping cuz they were at least in-state. NOT!
i placed an order for three items on March 14th and nothing. i emailed them and called and left a message on their machine (uh-huh, that tells you something) on the 23rd. finally got an email back that my order would ship the first week of April. i did recieve one item, shipped seperately from a company (Grobet) i could have ordered from on the net myself!
so here it is, the first week of April and still no tools, no order status, no nothing. so i emailed them again as i got my credit card bill and they'd whacked it for the full amount of the order ( i thought that was illegal?).
in the company's credit, they did a prompt reply and said they'd ship on the 22nd...but by that time i'd have to pay the credit card and have no recourse if they were pulling a scam.
so i emailed them back saying that it was unacceptable, give me a credit so they responded, but are trying to make me eat the entire shipping charge (almost 10 bucks).
burned again!

KD, you can dispute any charge on your credit card within 30 days of receiving the bill. All you have to do is call the credit card company, talk to someone in customer service and tell them you want to dispute a charge. They will either take all the info over the phone or send you a dispute form to fill out and return to them. You are not required to pay any charge or interest on any charge you are disputing. Once the dispute is filed with the credit card company, they will go after the vendor.
I always use a credit card when I purchase anything over the net. That way, if I don't get exactly what I ordered, IT'S DISPUTE TIME!
I have disputed a number of things on my credit card and have always had the charge removed from my account. The credit card companies go after the seller and get the money back. Helps if you have correspondence to the seller stating you aren't happy for whatever reason, but don't have to have anything. Took a couple or three months to get one of my disputes settled, but the credit card company didn't require me to pay the amount or any interest on the amount. When they got the money back from the seller, it was credited to my account.

ISHOR is more of a refinery than a tool company. They do have some interesting small tools, but, RIO is the one I use for tools. They are not the best, but their tools are ok. They are actually a modest sized company but they are stuck in the old ways. That has some merit but can be frustrating.

right on the nose, Doc, RIO has everyting, a little on the pricey side and not quite in this century yet as you can't order anything online. but i've had good luck with them in the past and will try and order what i had tried to order in mid March from Shor.
