Sorting the pics I had taken for Lowell but he never got to doing his Mexico/South America agate page. Unusual one, Wood Agate from Brazil. Actually a bit of lavender but it does not show in the pic. Laguna with huge sagenite burst at bottom Mexican sagenite cut across spikes, similar to peanut agate from Texas. Pretty Brazilian: Condors: Rooster tail agate from Mexico. Seldom seen form of Laguna moss Durango Moss from Mexico, . Comes in a whole bunch of colors and patterns.

What a feast for the eyes, especially the condor and Laguna moss. Thanks!

These were all purchased, mostly at Quartzite but a few, from old estates. The Condors are from it's first appearance at Quartzite. It was totally new to me and I spent an entire, very exciting, day going through a huge pile of rough. When I left the booth, my wallet was a whole lot lighter, that's for sure. Ron of Ron's Rocks in Camarillo was the only person I've ever seen with the wood agate. Sometimes kind of pink in the background too. Interesting vein material!.....Mel

That Laguna Moss is awesome! Does it come from the same deposit as the Red Laguna Lace does or another deposit from the Laguna area?

Great show Mel. Your Laguna with sagenite reminds me of this one of mine:

Another sagenite fan here. Love cacoxenite. Sagenite in amethyst is spectacular. Interesting you both have it coupled with something visually so completely different --- all in the same piece.

Neat stuff. That brown Brazilian is screaming to be backlit, the thick clean white bands are amazing contrasted with the chocolate brown. Reminds me of grandma pouring milk in her coffee.

Wow Rick, that sagenite spray is a beauty!
Larry the Laguna Moss supposedly came from the same deposit that yields the nodular forms. Have only ever seen a couple of slabs of it....Mel
