You've got some nice pieces there. The good stuff is hard to come by. A small seam of good stuff was found recently and made it's way to quartzsite this year, the rough was selling for $30/lb.

Yowza $30 lb? I heard at one time this was sold as landscape rock. It's true. most of the stone has been crushed up and used as landscape throughout southern Utah and Nevada. The lapidary quality stuff was quickly depleted and the rest of it is chalky and soft. The mine owner recently exposed a new small vein of the good opalized/silicated stuff and it went to quartzsite this year. I've seen it sold as "Casa Blanca Jasper" on Etsy, as the casa blanca casino in Mesquite NV is landscaped with the stuff LOL... it gets mistaken for tiffany stone quite often too as some of it has very dark purple color.
